Rockford, IL. – Today, Judge Joe McGraw, candidate for Illinois’ 17th Congressional District, announced the endorsement of Representative Elise Stefanik (NY-21), Chairwoman of the Republican Conference in the House of Representatives.
“I’m proud to endorse Judge Joe McGraw for Congress in Illinois’ 17th Congressional District. Judge Joe has dedicated his entire career to upholding the rule of law. As a former prosecutor and judge, he understands the impact of soft-on-crime policies on communities and the importance of enforcing the law. Joe is the type of leader we need in Washington, and I’m looking forward to serving with him in the 119th Congress,” said Representative Stefanik.
Judge Joe McGraw issued the following statement in response to the endorsement:
“I’ve lived my life by a strict code of ethics — something I know Elise Stefanik has done as well. I’m honored to have her support for this campaign. Elise is a proven winner who has been a bold, conservative leader in the House. When I get to Congress, I’ll be ready on day one to fight alongside her to secure the border, restore the economy, and end the lawlessness we have all become too familiar with under Joe Biden and Eric Sorensen."
Representative Stefanik’s endorsement comes on the heels of a series of milestones for Judge Joe McGraw’s campaign. McGraw kicked off his campaign with the endorsement of more than 40 leaders from across the district. Earlier this month, McGraw announced a Law Enforcement Coalition consisting of two dozen active and retired law enforcement officials, and the support of NRCC
Vice-Chair and fellow Illinoisan Congressman Darin LaHood. Additionally, McGraw just announced the highest initial quarter fundraising success for a first time Republican candidate in Illinois, 17.
